Pinter & Martin's pregnancy, childbirth and parenting list started back in 2003, when we were trying to find a copy of Grantly Dick-Read's Childbirth without Fear. We managed to find a copy of the US edition, but discovered it was heavily edited after his death, and decided to go back to his original work and create as close an edition to what he had intended.

The success of Childbirth without Fear enabled us to publish other books by natural childbirth authors, and soon we collected an impressive list of authors, including Michel Odent, Ina May Gaskin, Penny Armstrong, Sheila Kitzinger, Frédérick Leboyer, Gabrielle Palmer and Carlos González.
